AI Video Studio
Clyentra's video studio is image-to-video: a reference image is required. 4 to 8 seconds at 50 credits per second, 720p or 1080p. Credits are non-refundable.
7 min read · Reviewed
Video Studio at /studio/videos animates a still image. The screen is titled Create Video — "Turn ideas or images into videos" — and it is the most expensive thing you can do in Clyentra. Read the cost section before you press the button, because the credits do not come back.
Credits are non-refundable: A permanent banner sits above the form: Credits are non-refundable. 50 credits/second will be deducted once generation starts. There is no retry, no do-over and no refund if you dislike the result. Get the prompt and the reference image right first.
A reference image is required
This is image-to-video only. You cannot generate from a prompt alone — the Generate Video button stays disabled until both a prompt and a reference image are present. The upload hint states the limits: PNG, JPG, WEBP • Max 10MB. The drop zone reads Upload Reference, and once a file is in, Change Image swaps it.
Make the still first: The quality of the clip is mostly decided by the still it starts from. Generate the frame you want in ai-image-studio at 2 credits a turn, iterate there until it is right, and only then bring it here. Iterating on a 200-credit video to fix something you could have fixed on a 2-credit image is the most expensive mistake available to you.
The form
| Field | Options |
|---|---|
Prompt | What should happen in the clip. A free AI enhance button sits on the box. |
Reference Image | Required. PNG, JPG or WEBP, max 10MB. |
Duration | A slider from 4 to 8 seconds. |
Aspect Ratio | Landscape (16:9), Portrait (9:16), Square (1:1), Standard (4:3). |
Resolution | 720p or 1080p. |
What it costs
50 credits per second. The duration slider shows the running total as you drag it, and the button itself reads Generate Video · {credits} credits so the price is on the thing you are about to press.
| Duration | Credits | USD |
|---|---|---|
| 4 seconds (minimum) | 200 | $20.00 |
| 5 seconds | 250 | $25.00 |
| 6 seconds | 300 | $30.00 |
| 7 seconds | 350 | $35.00 |
| 8 seconds (maximum) | 400 | $40.00 |
The slider is capped by what your balance can actually afford, so it will not let you queue a clip you cannot pay for. If your balance is thin you get Low Credits — max {n}s video. If it is below the 200-credit floor, the form is blocked entirely with Insufficient Credits — "You need at least 200 credits to generate a 4s video." Top up from /usage; see ai-credits.
Generating
Press Generate Video and a progress ring takes over the preview area, stepping through what it is doing:
- Analyzing reference image & prompt
- Preparing video generation pipeline
- Synthesizing video frames
- Encoding & optimizing output
Stay on the page. The finished clip appears in the preview with a Latest badge, its prompt, and its duration, aspect ratio and resolution underneath. Below it, earlier clips from this session sit in a History strip. Each card has a play control, a Download action and a remove button.
The in-studio History is not your archive: The History strip in the studio is a working list, not durable storage. The permanent copy of every clip lives in My Creations → Videos (/studio/creations) and in Drive under My Creations → Video Generation. Download or file your clip from there — do not treat the studio strip as the place it lives.
What the video studio does not have
It is worth being blunt, because other tools have trained people to look for these. There are no engines or model presets, no storyboards, no negative prompts, no remix, and no retry. There is a prompt, an image, a duration, an aspect ratio and a resolution. That is the whole surface.
A method that does not waste money
- Get the still right first. Build the opening frame in Image Studio at 2 credits a turn. Iterate there, not here.
- Write the motion, not the scene. The image already carries the scene. The prompt should carry what moves — a slow push in, a camera drift, steam rising.
- Press the AI enhance button. It rewrites the prompt and costs nothing. This is the last free improvement before a 200-credit spend.
- Start at 4 seconds. The minimum is 200 credits and the maximum is 400. Prove the concept at 4s; only stretch to 8s once you know the clip works.
- Pick the ratio for its destination.
Portrait (9:16)for Reels, Stories and TikTok.Landscape (16:9)for YouTube and websites. Regenerating in another ratio is a fresh full-price run. - Download it from My Creations. That is the durable copy — and Drive keeps it alongside everything else.
Getting the clip into a post
Attach it from the composer's Drive card, which supplies the public URL that publishing requires. Instagram Reels, TikTok video posts, Facebook Reels and YouTube all need media, and a 9:16 clip is what they want. See compose-and-schedule-posts.
Permissions
Video generation needs the AI Tools permission at Editor level and an active subscription. Viewers see a read-only banner. Credits come out of the shared organization balance — one person's 8-second clip is 400 credits nobody else can spend. See roles-and-permissions.
Questions people ask
Can I generate a video from a text prompt alone?
No. Video Studio is image-to-video only. A reference image is required, and the Generate Video button stays disabled until you have both an image and a prompt. Make the still in ai-image-studio first.
How much does a video cost?
50 credits per second. The 4-second minimum is 200 credits ($20) and the 8-second maximum is 400 credits ($40). The button shows the exact figure before you press it.
I don't like the result. Can I get my credits back?
No. The studio states it permanently: Credits are non-refundable. 50 credits/second are deducted once generation starts. This is why the free prompt-enhance button and a well-chosen reference image matter so much.
Why is the duration slider capped below 8 seconds?
Your balance cannot afford a longer clip. The slider is limited to what you can pay for, and a Low Credits — max {n}s video warning explains the cap. Top up and the full 4-8 second range comes back.
What image formats does it accept?
PNG, JPG and WEBP, up to 10MB — the upload hint reads "PNG, JPG, WEBP • Max 10MB".
My clip disappeared from the studio.
The in-studio History strip is not persistent storage. Every generated clip is saved to My Creations → Videos at /studio/creations and to Drive under My Creations → Video Generation. Download it from there.
Is there a way to retry or remix a clip?
No. There is no retry, no remix, no storyboard and no negative prompt in Video Studio. A new attempt is a new generation at full price — which is the reason to iterate on the reference image at 2 credits a turn instead.
