Marketing hub and channels
Clyentra's marketing hub publishes to 11 social platforms from one place. Learn what each of the six tabs does, how to connect a channel, and how to keep tokens alive.

The marketing hub is one screen with six tabs. Everything social lives there: what you published, what you scheduled, who replied, how it performed, and which accounts are wired up. This guide covers the hub as a whole and the Channels tab in detail — composing is in compose-and-schedule-posts, and replying is in social-inbox-and-analytics.
The six tabs
| Tab | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Overview | Stats, your five most recent posts, and a shortcut to connect a channel. |
| Compose | The three-step composer with a live per-platform preview. |
| Posts | Everything published, scheduled or saved as a draft, in a calendar or a grid. |
| Inbox | Comments and DMs from every channel in one queue, with a live unread badge. |
| Analytics | Followers, impressions, engagement and a trend chart over 7, 30 or 90 days. |
| Channels | Connect, reconnect and disconnect the social accounts everything else runs on. |
On a phone the bottom bar carries four of them — Overview, Posts, Inbox, Analytics — and Compose is the raised button in the middle. Channels is reached from Overview, because connecting is a setup task rather than a daily one.
The 11 platforms you can connect
- Facebook, Instagram, Threads
- LinkedIn, X
- YouTube, TikTok
- Pinterest, Bluesky, Telegram
- Google Business
WhatsApp is not a channel here: WhatsApp Business is not part of the marketing hub. You connect it under Settings → Integrations, and the conversations arrive in Chat, not in the social inbox. See integrations and team-chat.
Connect a channel
- Open the Channels tab. The hero reads
Connect your channels— publish, schedule and manage all your social accounts from one place. - Press Connect new account. The button flips into a Choose a platform grid listing every platform your organization can connect.
- Pick the platform. Clyentra opens a 600x700 OAuth popup on the platform's own login. If nothing appears, the toast says "Popup blocked — allow popups and try again." Allow popups for Clyentra and press the platform again.
- Approve the permissions. Sign in on the platform and approve access. Clyentra never sees your password — the platform hands back a token.
- Wait for the sync. When the popup closes, Clyentra pulls the profile in and then backfills your recent comments and DMs, so the inbox is populated the first time you open it rather than empty.
Connecting is read-safe: The setup card says it in as many words: Nothing publishes without you pressing the button — connecting is read-safe. Linking an account imports what is already there. It never posts on your behalf.
One account per platform
An organization can hold one account per platform. Connect Instagram a second time and Clyentra tells you Instagram is already connected. and re-syncs the existing account instead of creating a duplicate. If you need to switch to a different Instagram account, disconnect the first one, then connect the new one.
Active connections, and when tokens expire
The Active connections panel on the right lists every linked account with its platform, its @username and its follower count. Two badges can appear on a row:
| Badge | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
EXPIRES SOON | The platform's token runs out within 7 days. | Reconnect the account before it lapses — nothing breaks yet. |
EXPIRED | The token is dead. The row also shows a reconnect prompt. | Reconnect now. Until you do, that channel will not publish or sync. |
An expired token silently costs you scheduled posts: A scheduled post for a channel whose token has expired has nothing to publish through. If you keep a schedule running weeks ahead, glance at Active connections when you see an EXPIRES SOON badge rather than waiting for a failure in the Posts tab.
Disconnect a channel
Press the trash icon on the connection row. The confirmation is explicit about what happens: This account will stop publishing and syncing. You can reconnect anytime. It is a reversible action — reconnecting the same account brings it back.
What Overview shows you
Before your first channel is connected, Overview is a single Get set up card with three steps: connect a channel, let your recent activity import itself, publish your first post. Once an account is live, the card is replaced by the real dashboard:
- Four stat tiles — Followers, Published, Impressions, Likes.
- Your five most recent posts, each with its platforms, status and live metrics.
- A Channels column listing every connected account with its follower count.
- Two buttons in the header:
New postandConnect channel.
Who can use the hub
The hub needs the Marketing permission and an active subscription. Without them the screens say so directly — for example Marketing hub unavailable, "Your current role or plan doesn't include the marketing hub." Viewer-level access can read the hub but cannot connect a channel, publish, or triage the inbox. Set this per role in roles-and-permissions.
Connect the boring ones too: Telegram, Bluesky and Google Business take under a minute each and cost you nothing to keep connected. Google Business in particular feeds the local-search surface most small businesses in Portland or Toronto ignore entirely — and it accepts Updates, Events and Offers straight from the same composer.
Questions people ask
Does connecting an account let Clyentra post without me?
No. The product states it on the setup card: "Nothing publishes without you pressing the button — connecting is read-safe." Connecting imports your profile, recent posts, comments and DMs. Publishing only happens when you press Publish now or Schedule in the composer.
Nothing happened when I picked a platform.
Your browser blocked the OAuth popup. Clyentra shows "Popup blocked — allow popups and try again." Allow popups for the Clyentra domain in your browser settings, then press the platform again.
Can I connect two Facebook Pages?
One account per platform per organization. Connecting a second time returns Facebook is already connected. and re-syncs the existing one. If a single connected account has access to several Facebook Pages, you choose which Page to publish to per post using the Page picker in the composer.
What does the EXPIRED badge mean?
The platform's access token has lapsed, so that channel can no longer publish or sync. Reconnect the account from the Channels tab to refresh the token. A separate EXPIRES SOON badge warns you 7 days ahead.
Is disconnecting permanent?
No. The confirmation says "This account will stop publishing and syncing. You can reconnect anytime." Reconnect from Connect new account whenever you want it back.
Where is WhatsApp?
WhatsApp Business is an integration, not a social channel. Connect it in Settings → Integrations — see integrations — and the conversations land in team-chat.
Why does the hub say it is unavailable?
Either your role lacks the Marketing permission or your organization has no active subscription. Ask an admin to grant the permission in roles-and-permissions, and check the plan in subscription-billing.
