Create your Clyentra account

Create a Clyentra account in under a minute. Covers the signup form, the password rules, the optional 2FA step, and what happens if you were invited by a teammate.

5 min read · Reviewed

This page takes you from the signup form to a signed-in account. Clyentra does not send a verification email and does not offer social login — you enter four fields, press one button, and you are in.

Fill in the signup form

The page is headed Create your account with the subtitle Get started with your new account. It has exactly four fields.

  1. Enter a username. The Username field is how you are identified inside the workspace. It is required.
  2. Enter your work email. Use the address your team will recognize. An invalid address is rejected inline with Invalid email address.
  3. Choose a strong password. As you type, a strength meter and a live checklist appear. All five rules must pass before the form will submit.
  4. Confirm the password. Type it again in Confirm Password. A mismatch shows Passwords don't match immediately, not after submit.
  5. Press Create Account. A Signing you in... overlay appears while your session is established. If the server rejects the request you see Registration failed. Please try again.

The password rules

Your password must satisfy all five of these. Each one turns green in the checklist as you meet it.

  • At least 8 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one digit
  • At least one special character

The strength meter above the checklist moves through Weak → Fair → Good → Strong → Very Strong as more rules pass. It is a guide, not a separate gate — the five rules are what the form actually enforces.

Use a password manager: Clyentra expires passwords after 90 days. A managed, generated password saves you from inventing a new one four times a year. See Reset your password.

Secure the account (optional, but do it now)

Right after the account is created, Clyentra offers to protect it. The screen is headed Secure your new account with two buttons: Set up two-factor authentication and Skip for now.

If you continue, the setup screen Set Up Two-Factor Auth shows a QR code and a Secret Key you can copy into Google Authenticator, Authy, or any TOTP app. Enter the six digits under AUTHENTICATOR CODE and press Enable 2FA.

Clyentra then shows a Backup codes panel with a Copy button and this warning: "Save these codes somewhere safe. Each can be used once to recover access if you lose your authenticator." Store them outside the device that holds your authenticator, then press Continue to your account. Full detail in Two-factor authentication.

Backup codes are shown once: This is the only time this set of codes is displayed. If you close the screen without copying them, you will have to regenerate a new set from /profileSecurityBackup Codes, which invalidates the old ones.

What happens next

A brand-new account has zero organizations, so Clyentra sends you straight to the onboarding wizard at /onboarding to build your workspace. You cannot reach the rest of the app until an organization exists. Walk through it in Create an organization.

If a teammate invited you

Invitation links open /accept-invitation with your email already filled in. Signing up there creates your account and accepts the invitation in one step, so you join an existing workspace instead of running onboarding.

Questions people ask

Do I have to verify my email before I can use Clyentra?

No. There is no email verification step. Once Create Account succeeds you are signed in immediately and taken to onboarding.

Can I sign up with Google or Microsoft?

No. Clyentra accounts use email and password. Add two-factor authentication for a second factor.

Why won't the Create Account button submit?

The button stays disabled until every field validates: a username, a valid email, a password that passes all five rules, and a matching confirmation. Check the live checklist under the password field to see which rule is still red.

Is signing up the same as paying?

No. Creating an account costs nothing. You choose a plan at the end of onboarding, and you can pick the 3-day free trial with no credit card. Pricing details are in Subscription and billing.

What if I skip two-factor authentication?

The account works normally, and a red dot appears on your profile menu as a reminder. You can enable 2FA at any time from /profileSecurity.

Can one email belong to two organizations?

Yes. One account can be a member of several organizations. Use the organization switcher in the header to move between them.

The signup failed. What now?
